The music is my own personal musical composition, arrangement and sequence, "Everyday Heroes." It's my salute to all those who serve this nation and us with no fanfare, no medals and no parades day in and day out. Let me know what you think of the effort. Use the e-mail icon at the bottom of this page to do so. Or, you may use the other icon there to share this page with a friend.

Welcome to the Library of Lafcadio T. Lion's Lair

Welcome to the new home of my Library. I've made some changes to how this page works and looks, but everything that was here before is still here, plus a few new things as well. Be sure to sign up where provided below to receive LAF LIONS via e-mail.

Lafcadio T. Lion, Wordsmith

I'm truly gratified you decided to visit. Here you will find some samples of my writing and my music, both original compositions and MIDI arrangements and sequences I have personally done. Thank you for the honor you do me by reading and listening to them. You may e-mail me from the icon at the bottom of this page with your comments or opinions. I really do welcome your thoughts and comments.

My library now has five (5) major sections: some of my Newspaper Columns, a few of my Short Stories, some stuff I cannot classify (miscellaneous essays that I like to call, "What The Hey?!?") a few samples of my Poetry and a new section devoted to my original music compositions and MIDI arrangements and sequences I have done. Each grouping has its own drop-down menu now to speed up page loading.

Original music and MIDIs by Lafcadio T. Lion

Take time to visit all areas while you're here. Turn your speakers up. Every piece in my library has its own background music that I selected to enhance and enrich the intent and mood of each offering. Some of it may be my own original music or, it may be a MIDI presentation that I arranged and sequenced myself. You're invited to check these out for yourself and let me know what you think of what you've found here. I've provided a means for you to send each page to a friend via e-mail, if what you read or heard touched you in any way that causes you to wish to share it with someone.

If I have indeed touched a chord of response in you, made you laugh, cry, sigh or simply think as a result of what you've seen, read and heard, then I have well accomplished my job as a wordsmith. If you liked what you saw, heard and read here enough to share it with another, then I have done my job very well indeed. Thank you for the great compliment you pay me in doing so. Those aren't just meaningless, polite conversation words. I am truly grateful and humbled when someone likes what I have done enough to tell another about it.

There you have it... for now. Check back often. I add and change content on this page from time to time, so bookmark this page separately, if you wish.

Congratulations! You have just taken a tour through the mind of Lafcadio "Teh" Lion and survived. Now you know why I say that Laf is the ragweed in the fertile, out-of-control garden of the mind of the man who wears the shabby, tawdry and tattered lion suit. There is the rowdy, slightly bawdy, tongue-in-cheek rascal hiding there, but there is also the mature man and, yes, there is still the young, hope-filled child who seems to forget the pain some of the lessons life has taught him over the years. That young boy urges him to come out and play from time to time. He accepts that invitation often. Thank you for surfing by. Please visit again.
